Tiger Kingdom

This post needs little words, the pictures speak for themselves. All I will say is this was one of the most fun albeit a little intimidating hours of my trip yet! I got the big, small and smallest package at Tiger Kingdom and got to pet tigers from ages 2 months to 2 years. Only thing that I didn't like? You aren't allowed to touch their heads or front paws or horse around with them, even at 2 months they are dangerous wild animals. I wanted to rub their big heads so badly but settled for belly rubs instead. Oh, and each ticket comes with an insurance policy, ya know, just in case... The tigers are well treated here, are only disciplined or have their behaviour corrected with a snap against the head with a stick. No drugs, no electric shock or abuse. They are handled from a very young age and taught to play nice. Although after 2 years of age, nobody, even the trainers, play with them. It's just way too dangerous. They are impressive and ferocious animals but playful just like our cats at home. It was so much fun to watch grown tigers playing around in a pool, splashing and pouncing on each other. So cute! They aren't naturally violent creatures, but certainly have the capacity for it! And that respect is apparent everywhere here.
